How to handle DVR evidence

Q: When making copies of DVR evidence, what is the best way to document the process?

A: The downloading of digital video images from a DVR to a DVD should always be documented so that there is a record of the procedure followed and the steps taken.  The information should be recorded in the form of an affidavit or statutory declaration.  Both are the written equivalent of giving oral evidence under oath.
